For your consideration is a stunning vintage pair of Cat table lamps by Frederick Cooper. As one can see the lovely Cats are beautifully decorated, perched upon a cobalt platform accentuated with gold gilt. I contacted the Frederick Cooper Company for information on these lamps and was informed that their style number was F0013, and that they were Fitz and Floyd Porcelain made into lamps by Frederick Cooper in the 1990's. There is some oxidation on the Brass pole as well as on the Brass frame of the shades. There is also some gold gilt wear on the corners as well as on the trim. The glaze crazing is intentional. The wear described does not detract from the aesthetics of the lamps and is only mentioned for accuracy. They are both in working order and measure approximately as follows:

Lowest Base Point To Top Of Finial - 19 1/2 inches

Lowest Base To Highest Ear Of Cat - 9 1/4 inches

Base - 5 1/4 inches x 4 3/4 inches

Brass Plate That Extends From Base - 7/8 inches

Shade - 7 1/2 inches high

Upper Part Of Shade - 8 x 5/38 inches

Lower Part Of Shade - 12 x 9 1/4 inches

These treasures are in good condition and looking for a home.

Under the stewardship of the Gershanov family, the business flourished in Chicago, then the lighting capital of the world. Over decades, many other lamp businesses faded away, while Frederick Cooper prospered, building on its reputation for distinctive styles and superb quality.
