NOTES SECTION:Hallmarked in London, 1901 by  the PAIRPOINT BROTHERS--John and Frank one of the finest silversmithing companies of the period (JP over FP).  This very pretty, antique silver sugar caster, features Leaves and berry scroll work all over the body and lid, It has pretty filigree cutouts in lid.  This sugar shaker was brought back by my 78 year old cousin's husband from England after the war.  The business card from where he bought it in Thetford, Norfolk is inside.   The sugar caster measures approximately 7 1/2 inches (19cm) tall, by 3 1/2inches (9cm) in diameter, Approximately 7 oz.  I would say it is in very nice shape.  I do not see any dents or scratches,  nice used condition.  Beautiful!  I have shown the engravable area which is currently blank but is waiting for your initial! 

Pairpoint Brothers were one of the finest London silver manufacturers in the late 19th and early 20thC (1882-1904)and were well known at the time to be able to make reproductions of earlier pieces that were almost indistinguishable from the real thing. This piece is testimony to that thought.
