Christmas Pudding and other Brownie Stories, stories told in prose by E. Veale. Illustrated by Palmer Cox. Published by Hurst & Company. Copyright 1900. This is a reprint edition, early 1900s.

Grayish cloth boards are pretty worn. Corners are only lightly worn, though bumped, but spine ends are fraying. The cloth has made a great meal for silverfish over the years, but the lettering is clear and the front pastedown is intact. Hinges are intact, though the rear may have been glue repaired - looks good. There is a gift inscription on the ffep in pencil. Pages are toned, with occassional finger smudges but no tears. There is a separation in the binding between pages 128/129, but all pages are securely bound. Profusely illustrated in b&w.

A few of the stories that were published in pamphlet form are present, such as The Monkey's Trick, The Jolly Chinee, Jack the Giant, the First Trousers and Cock Robin and there are dozens more included.
