Pan American Brass BBb Sousaphone w/24" Bell 177879

This is a Pan American Brass BBb Sousaphone.
The serial number is 177879.
The body and bell are both marked 93 near the sockets.
The sousaphone plays easily and sounds great.
The bell is 24 1/4" in diameter with a 6" socket.
It has a 21" body opening.
The valves move smoothly and have good spring.
The valves have some finish wear and tarnish spots.
The top/bottom valve caps all unscrew for oiling.
The four tuning slides move freely and the spit valve works fine.
The bell is in excellent condition with some minor dents & dings.
The lacquer on the bell is excellent with minor wear.
The engraving is crisp and clear.
The body of the instrument has lacquer wear so it looks much darker than the bell.
It has some dents, dings and finish wear as pictured.
The largest dent is near the bend just below the socket.
One brace has been resoldered.
The leadpipe brace has been resoldered and there is a patch
on the leadpipe. (see picture)
One bell bolt flange and one bell bolt is missing.
The neck has some minor wear and the bits are stuck together.
A Conn 2 mouthpiece is included. (rough)
