You are bidding on the Panasonic CQ-MRX777D CD/MD/AM/FM Receiver!! This unit was imported from Japan in order to work in our American vehicle. As you may know, the Mini Disc format did not catch on in the states, so finding a nice domestic player was not an easy option for us in America; especially one that would fit in a single DIN application.
We are also including a FM Converter (Shifter/Expander) because Japanese FM radios/tuners operate from 76MHz to 90MHz which is, of course, different from the rest of the world (which operates from 88MHz to 108MHz). This accessory will allow the Panasonic's tuner to find our frequencies. It achieves this by shifting the US frequencies into the "Japanese" band so that the radio/tuner can detect our stations. This will work in practically any vehicle, regardless of region (Asia, North America, Europe, etc..).
