An invaluable book for beginning to intermediate patternmaking. 800+ pages in a 3-ring binder style book, included CD/DVD. Patternmaking for Fashion Design is based on two pattern making systems: drafting, which relies on measurements to create patterns, and flat pattermaking, which relies on previously developed patterns to create design patterns. This book thoroughly combines instruction with easy-to-follow technical illustrations to present three major patternmaking principles and accompanying techniques: dart manipulation, volume/fullness and contouring. In mastering these skills, the patternmaker will be able to change a designer's two-dimensional sketch into pattern shapes that create a three dimensional garment. The book is in Like New condition and is barely used. The only markings are my name in the inside cover. |
