Not Scarlet.  Not Black Cherry.  A rare Raspberry finish with a transparent raspberry back as noted inside the pick-up cavity.  A well deserved 10 top with stunning maple flame which changes as you look at it from different angles.  It also has a shimmering, wave-like cross grain in the flame.  All red guitars are tough to capture in pictures.  This raspberry red is by far the most difficult I’ve ever encountered.  The pictures don’t even come close to capturing the beauty of this 10 top.  She has barely been played and is still easily in 9.5 condition.  The chrome still shines and only the slightest surface pick hazing can be seen around the strings if you hold it in the light at the proper angle.  There is no buckle rash on the back at all.  None.  The birds are extremely colorful.  The frets are like new.  The neck and headstock are perfect as well.

This guitar is highly resonant with smooth, comfortable, low, and extremely responsive action, just as you would expect from a PRS.  The combination of Dragon Treble / Dragon Bass pick-ups, wide/fat neck carve, low mass ebony tuners and the solid stop tail bridge give it an uncommonly full sound.  It recently sold as previously owned from Guitar Center for over $2150 including the tax, in January 2008.  The GC hang tag is still in the case.
