Paul Revere Pottery SEG Personalized Cup & Saucer Set
Presented is a vintage Paul Revere Pottery or Saturday Evening Girls cup and saucer set from the 1920s. Both pieces have beautiful cracklature to the glaze. This set is rare because this type of pottery is usually rather plain in design but the cup is beautifully decorated with a house and tree design, which gives it a sort of Art Nouveau feel. This set was personalized with an old-fashioned monogram of the letter O over the letters E and M.
The undersides are marked PRP, 8-26 for August 1926 and an artists mark most likely for Edith Brown, one of the decorators at Saturday Evening Girls.
This set is in great condition. There appears to be a small crack in the cup but it is very hard to see because of the cracklature texture. I'm not sure it is a crack, but I am mentioning it anyway. There are no other cracks, no chips, no breaks and no repairs.
The cup measures 3 3/4 inches in diameter and is 2 inches tall while the saucer measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter.
