This is a  beautiful agate  pendant that  has been treated with titanium  for that beautiful peachy orange iridesence.  The center is filled with sparkling crystals. Much much brighter and more sparkling in person!   A perfect holiday party pendant to treat yourself to, or makes a unique present!

 The overall measurement is  2-1/4"  tall  x   1-1/8" wide. (58mm x 29mm)  This  is a one of  a kind piece of  jewelry  that I have designed and wrapped in my studio on lovely Pine Island  in Florida.  It has no solder or glue,  just intricately but securely wrapped wire around  a semi-precious gemstone - an ancient art form.

Agate is a non-traditional birthstone for May and June.  Those born under the sign of Gemini, Virgo, Taurus,  Libra or Capricorn all claim agate in one form or another as their astral gemstone.   Astologers link agate to the planet Mercury.  Couples celebrating their twelfth or fourteenth anniversary consider agate their anniversary gemstone.  Early Egyptians carved agate into receptacles and amulets, as well as other articles of adornment.  In addition, agate has been used for thousands of years in the creation of the carved cameo.
