This specimen has some of the most beautiful Stilbite specimens that I've ever seen. There are three distinct clusters of Stilbite. One is a very nice quality, well-formed, translucent frosty peach that is typical of fine Stilbite from this region (see upper left in Gallery photo). However, the largest Stilbite (center front in Gallery picture and 1st closeup) is remarkable. This cluster is formed from two 'sets' of crystals, one on top of the other, that spray out in the shape of an old-fashioned, ladies' victorian fan. In addition, these crystals are distinctly pink, rather than peach, and are very gemmy, with a noticeably greater degree of transparency than most Stilbites...you can see into the crystals, but not through them. The third Stilbite cluster (upper right in Gallery photo and 2nd closeup) is a combination of the other two! The vertical part of this cluster is a frosty peach translucent, and wrapped around this part horizontally is another of the gemmy pink variety. In addition, there's a small, pie-shaped wedge of the gemmy pink attached to the left side of this cluster. The underlying base is a black rock matrix, which is covered with horizontal, parallel rope-like structures (more Stilbite??), which are themselves coated with a fine druse. And sprinkled over all are very tiny, bright, twinkling Stilbites, most of which are a very pale pink!! The entire effect is a study in contrasting textures and soft, subtle colors, and a very showy look. The overall specimen size is 5.0" x 3.5" x 2.25", 1 lb 1.2 oz, from Jalgaon, India. If you have a problem with your purchase, please contact us immediately to see if we can resolve it. If not, you may request a return authorization code, which must be displayed prominently on the label of the return package, which must be shipped within 7 days. Insurance is required on all returns. When the item arrives in good condition, a refund will be issued, excluding your original shipping charge. A restocking fee of 10% will be charged, with a minimum of $2.50 and a maximum of $25.00.
