Artist Rob Christensen uses the “Stipple Technique” to render his incredible likeness’ of dogs and wildlife scenes. The pen-and-ink technique builds an impression through single points of ink on illustration board. Shading is controlled by the “closeness” of the dots, tightly grouped together for the darker areas and more spread apart for the lighter shaded areas. Even the black areas are done by completely saturating an area with ink dots.
