Omni-Clave Sterilizer

Up for auction is an Omni-Clave sterilizer, model OCM from Pelton and Crane. This autoclave is in good physical condition, with some scuffs on the casing and some tape residue on the door. The gauges are in good condition, with no scratches or cracks on the glass. The writing on the gauges is very readable.

When I opened the door of this sterilizer, the gasket for sealing the door fell off because the adhesive holding it on was old. The gasket is included with this auction. Also included is a tray for putting instruments on to be sterilized. This sterilizer is 14 inches deep and has a 7 inch diameter. Please see the photos below for more details on this autoclave.

This unit was tested to power on and the elements heated up but the unit was not tested with steam.  The sterilizer was tested to heat up briefly, in which time it emitted some smoke.  We believe this is due to dust on the heating elements from sitting, but we cannot be sure.  The device was also not tested to hold a vacuum.  Thank you for your interest and happy bidding.
