- Hi, If you have been looking for an affordable high quality pro style film camera then this is the one for you!!!
- This auction is for A refurbished Pentax K1000 body and used accessories,I take in these wayward cameras and go over them meticulously. The bodies are cleaned lubricated and adjusted in order to bring the mechanical functions back to like new condition.The light seals and the shutter cushion have all been replaced with higher quality modern materials wich will last longer than the originals.(wich in many cases is at or near thirty years)All internal mechanisms are cleaned,And if necessary the light meter and shutter speeds are brought back to spec.The battery cover and terminals are replaced(the terminals with the newer stainless steel type,to prevent future corrosion problems that have long been associated with the K1000)The prisms are also centered and adjusted for proper alignment as well as the reflex mirror.I even insure that the long broken winder indicator is functional.The body is in like new or better quality inside.Ok with that out of the way lets see what comes with this auction,shall we?
- One used but reconditioned Pentax K1000 body.I list these as used because I seldom retouch the cosmetic aspects of the cameras. this one has gone through the above mentioned service. The body is fully functional and accurate I have run film through this unit and it takes exceptional pictures.Shutter speeds and centerweighted light meter are spot on,asa dial is calibrated correctly,reflex mirror and shutter curtians are crisp and responsive.There is NO dust or debris in the view finder,there are a few scratches on the top plate on the left side,(probably from a strap clasp)NO brassing anywhere but has a few chips in the black coatings that ring the body.there is a small ding in the bottom plate but does not interfere with opperation in any way. On a side note I do not sell the cheaper 80's version as they are made of plastic and are built in china,These are all metal including the top and bottom plates.Quite litterally I have seen these metal bodies go down a flight of stairs and still work though I don't recommend that you try it.I have been using and working on this brand and it's accessories for twenty plus years so be sure that I am competent to perform this type of work.
- One Asahi Pentax smc 1:2 50mm fixed focal prime lens (smc stands for,Super multi coated) this is a superior coating meant to prevent flare and aberations in the print.Arpeture is crisp with positive detent between stops blades are clean and smooth, opticals are clean and clear with NO scratches,blemishes, or fungus.The P/K bayonet mount shows virtually no wear.Focusing is smooth and easy.The only cosmetic issues I have found is A small blemish on the arpeture ring.This is a fast lens with stops from 22-2
- One Albinar ADG 28mm 1:2.8 macro focusing wide angle lens,with stops from 22-2.8 I cannot find any fault with this lens cosmetic or otherwise its in as good or better condition as the above mentioned lens.
- One Vivitar 70-210 macro focusing zoom F1:4.5.This is a push pull zoom with little creep stops are from 32-4.5 with macro focusing capabilities Outstanding condition 9.8 out of 10 easily no issues with this lens at all
- One Sakar P/K mount 2x teleconverter (early Japan version) with case and caps.This is in top flight condition and has an arpeture control rod built in to communicate mechanically with the body. This one is in unbeleivable condition including the case!
- One Vivitar auto thyristor model 283 flash unit. Cosmetically this one is kind of scratched up with a few blemishes here and there but no cracks or weak spots.The battery compartment is very clean but the door has been notched to accept an external battery pack this does not affect performance of the unit.It has an auto sensor for output adjustment there is an easy to use lighted scale on the unit for auto settings and can also be used in full power manual mode for coverage of fourty plus feet.The head pivots from at 90,45,60,75,and 180 degrees from forward for bounce effect.the pivot is NOT worn and sticky with positive stops at all angles. The capacitor has been reset so it will work right out of the box.This unit is 100% functional and has been tested.
- Also includes A Pentax brand neck strap A new button cell battery and a cd containing A pdf version of the camera and flash users manual.And a Pentax lens users guide.
