This is half of a fleece from Claudia, a white Perendale ewe.  The staple length of this fleece is 3 to 3-1/2".   It weighs approximately 2 lb 13 oz.  Perendale is considered a medium fleece but has a somewhat soft handle.  I don't cover my sheep as they are grazing most of the year in irrigated pasture.  The fleece was heavily skirted and the small amount of vm in it will drop out when it is washed and carded, or combed.
