Twenty-Four Discourses on Some of teh Important and Interesting Truths, Duties and Institutions of the Gospel, and theGeneral Excellency of the Christian Religion; Calculated for the People of God of Every Communion, Particularly for the Benefit of Pious Families, and teh Instruction of all in the Things which Concern their Salvation. By Nathan Perkins, A.M., Pastor of a Church of Christ in Hartford.
Hartford: Hudson & Goodwin, 1795. pp. 519. + 19 pp. Subscribers list at rear.
Period full leather binding.
In good condition, spine leather somwhat age worn, red leather title label partly lacking in spots, lacking front free endpaper, text block browned & foxed, overall sound tight binding. A solid and completely acceptable example of this 18th century American imprint.
Of particular note is the 8 line manuscript ownership inscription on the final blank fly leaf by Lazarus Loveland, who is listed as one of the subscribers from Glastenbury (Conn.). In addition to signing his name, he records the price he paid, plus that the book was acquired by subscription. Interesting to find an 18th century American imprint signed and with manuscript annotations in it by one of the original subscribers listed.
Measures 5" x 8."

We happily accept credit cards directly and PayPal. We also accept checks and foreign bank wire transfers over $500.
Please note: All the items we offer are guaranteed to be old and authentic as described. We do not handle reproductions or fakes and we stand behind everything we sell.
SHIPPING TERMS:
IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE THE US, PLEASE DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOU GET AN INVOICE FROM US. OFTEN THE AUTOMATED eBay SHIPPING QUOTE IS WRONG.
The US post office has recently dramatically raised shipping rates and eliminated cheap surface mail outside the US.
Thus, it is usually no longer possible to ship books outside the US for under $12. The same is true for maps rolled in tubes, the minimum is normally $12 and neiher of these low rates work for items worth over $50, which have to be trackable or insured (Paypal rules). We will only make an exception to this if you email us stating you assume 100% of the shipping risk and leave us feedback before we ship the item. Then we will ship expensive items normal airmail and email you a pic of the shipping receipt if you wish as proof of sending.
We are on your side and trying to ship items the cheapest possible way which also complies with Paypal rules, so please do not blame us for shipping quotes which seem expensive- we cannot do anything about it and are as frustrated as you are that the post office has raised their rates so much (seems to be true for post offices around the world actually).
International Buyers: All items worth more than $50 must be insured or registered (see exceptions above). Please do not ask us to ship valuable items by ordinary airmail, forcing us to assume the risk for you. Paypal rules require international parcels be trackable to protect both parties.
U.S. Buyers: For street addresses in the continental U.S. we prefer UPS ground service. Insurance is included in our quote. If you have a P.O. box, we'll use the Postal Service.
If the value of your purchase is less than $50 and it does not weigh too much we can usually ship it by media mail for $5. This applies to U.S. addresses only. We regret we cannot use your Fedex Account, as we do not have an account with them and the paperwork/ phone calls to reach them are very time consuming.

We accept payment in U.S. dollars by PayPal, credit/debit card, wire transfer and domestic money order or checks. Please, NO FOREIGN CHECKS. International wire transfers cost us a $10 bank fee and we must therefore add this $10 fee to the total if you wish to wire funds for totals under $500. If your total is over $500 we will waive this fee. Prompt payment within 10 days is required re: your eBay agreement and very much appreciated.
