17" Antique Kestner 154 Doll
| This old 17 inch antique German bisque shoulder head doll is so delightful! She is Kestner's 154 model and is circa late 1800. She has lovely brown glass sleep eyes, square cut teeth, thick multi-stroke eyebrows and hand painted upper and lower eyelashes.
She appears to almost be smiling and her pert upturned lips are very pronounced.
She is wearing her original 2pc white cotton dress and undergarments. When I got the doll, the dress was filthy dirty from age and discolored. I soaked it in oxy-clean and it came alive again. Unfortunately it shrunk slighty. Because of this it doesn't close easily anymore so I pinned the dress and top closed (it is not bad). It still has wear associated with age, but is still mostly intact. She also comes with a pretty cameo necklace.
On her head she is wearing a gorgeous vintage blonde mohair wig with an adorable blue and white polka dot hat with feather.
I see no hairlines on the head. One of her bisque hands has damage to the tips of her fingers (nibbles/slight chips) as shown in picture. Her original body is made out of kid leather with argyle fabric lower legs which is so cute.
She is the perfect cabinet size and is display ready.
I do not smoke, but do not know how many smoking homes these antique / vintage items have been in for all these years. I do have 2 dogs and a cat, but all my items for sale are kept behind glass or away from my pets.

Any flaws I see will be noted in auction description. However, antique and vintage items are not perfect and may have imperfections from age that I may have missed by accident. I provide lots of photos at many different angles for you to see the condition very well. Therefore no partial refunds will be allowed. If anything needs to be returned you will pay return shipping. I pack antiques, porcelain, delicates, and collectibles with plenty of care. No need to worry. I usually have very fragile items professionally packed by the UPS Store and pay for that service out of my own pocket. I think my customers are worth the extra effort. Fragile items will be packed in layers of bubblewrap, and the box will be padded with plenty of cushioning.

Payments must be received within 7 days after auction closes otherwise I will file an unpaid item dispute with ebay and relist the item immediately.
If you need a little more time to pay for your items, please email me before making a purchase. There is a possibility we can work out a payment or layaway plan. Just remember to email me for details first, otherwise I need to stick to the original 7 day payment plan as stated above.
If a layaway or payment plan is okayed by me, a non-refundable good faith down payment of 30% must be paid to hold the item. If buyer changes his or her mind, the 30% down is non-refundable and can only be used as a credit in my ebay store and is good for 6 months.
All sales are final. Please ask questions before buying. I will be glad to answer any questions you may have quickly.

I am not making money on shipping. Shipping cannot be negotiated after the listing ends. Please make sure you agree on shipping price before bidding. I wish the USPS and UPS didn't raise prices. I am so sorry for the extra shipping costs to you and hope you will understand. If the shipping I quote you in the listing is less than I anticipated, I will refund you the difference if it is over $4. I have most of my fragile items professionally packed at the UPS Store and pay for it out out of my own pocket. Packing materials are very costly.

Insurance is a must. I fully insure all items. I do not ship my items out unless they are insured unless they are very low valued items.
By Bidding you agree to pay the insurance costs which will be calculated at the end of the auction according to the final item price.
If item arrives broken, you must keep all of the original packing material and box, otherwise insurance claim will be voided. By bidding or buying you also agree to cooperate with filling out insurance claim forms and filing at your local post office. Insurance claims may take 30 days or more to be paid out. |
