You are bidding on this gorgeous serving plate or tray of Peruvian Pottery. It is a signed Cusco Peru on the back. All handpainted to display ancient symbols and designs from Inca and Nazca Cultures. It measures 11.5" across and it very heavy. They come from villages surrounding Cusco Peru. The artisans mix clay and valcanic ash and roll the mixture into coils to make them. Then they fire them in stoves made up of stones, straw and wood. Then once they cool they handpaint them with the symbols. It is in all earthtone colors or browns, rust, beige, white, yellow, orange,green,black. And it is very detailed it is nice and heavy it does have a spot that was chipped and reglued if you look at 12:00. There are two tiny pieces gone that were to small to glue.
