Rare autographed photograph of original Beatles drummer Pete Best, signed "Pete Best" in black ink. Photograph measures approx 10" x 8" (20.3cm x 20.5cm) and is in MINT Condition. An excellent piece of Beatles-related autographed memorabilia. No Reserve.

Pete Best was born on 24th November 1941. His mother, Mona Best started the Casbah Coffee Club in the cellar of the Bests' house in Haymens Green, Liverpool, which became very popular - the membership list grew to over a thousand - and where The Beatles (then known as The Quarrymen) played some of their first gigs. Pete Best played there with his first band The Black Jacks, and later with The Beatles. He joined The Beatles on 12th August 1960, only one day before they were to go to Hamburg, Germany to play a season of concerts. He performed with The Beatles in the clubs of Hamburg and Liverpool, including the Cavern Club, and recorded 'My Bonnie' plus other tracks with Tony Sheridan. He took part in The Beatles failed audition for Decca Records in January 1962 and was dismissed from the group on 16th August 1962 to be replaced by Ringo Starr. Many of Pete Best's recordings with The Beatles are included on the Anthology 1 album.
