Pretty much any sports bar, theme restaurant, pizza joint, or arcade you've been in since 1990 has likely had the coin-operated version of PETER JACOBSEN'S GOLDEN TEE stuck in a corner somewhere!
Now, the game that's conquered the country comes to your living room in this incarnation for the PlayStation. The first thing you'll notice is the close similarities the graphics hold to those of the original 3D courses, lush greens, realistic golfer models, and all the rest. What this version has that the others don't, however, is a selection of 12 different courses, making for extraordinarily high replay value. The six original and six mirrored sets of fairways and greens present unique challenges based on their real-life locales, and there are a number of hidden environments that can be unlocked through solid play.
Various modes of play include Skins, Strokes, Speed Golf, and Club Roulette, each of which requires you to utilize different golf skills. Play alone or get up to four players involved in the action.
