~Just in from England, this quality antique oak bookcase, with all the elements that make an antique a special addition to your home!

The appeal is obvious, with the carved claw feet and the raised scalloped upper AND lower trim….

And the size is perfect, petite enough for any room yet with three full shelves to provide plenty of display or storage.

The classic English oak has a rich, darker golden oak finish and the patina is perfect!

 

 ~AND LOOK, the original maker's tag is on the back!! We call that 'lagniappe' in Louisiana.......a little something extra for this lovely bookcase to know it's provenance and origins!!

36”H x 14 ½” x 8 ½”;

Lowest shelf, 10 ½”H x 14” x 7”;

Middle shelf, 9”H x 14” x 7”;

Upper shelf, 9”H below molding and 10”H behind molding.

 

All of my antiques are hand selected from premier European shippers.  I do not purchase in bulk, but prefer to individually purchase items, with each piece selected for its unique characteristics and quality.

 

Condition:

The bookshelf is in good condition for its age, with normal signs of age and use, scratches, dings, and other imperfections. The shelves are sturdy and strong and ready for another 100 years of use!!  I always provide multiple photos that should be considered as part of the description and I encourage you to email me with any questions you might have prior to bidding.    Please keep in mind antique furniture should be purchased for its uniqueness, higher quality material and craftsmanship and antique patina, charm and character….NOT for like-new condition!!!
