The "monster" in this book is the most awesome creature in American literature!!!! Such a smart novel !! This is my third time reading this!

This novel is the scariest Koontz story I have read to date...the "creature" involved makes most other literary monsters look like Spongebob... A lady doctor and her teen sister return to her home in Snowfield, CA to find the town completely deserted-even pets and area wildlife are missing. They find the doctor's housekeeper dead in the kitchen, a look of horror on her face and completely covered with bruises...So begins a journey into terror as the reader follows the main characters into a nightmare from which they may not escape. Koontz is a master of suspense, and it keeps piling on page after page. I could hardly put this down! Recommended for all lovers of horror tales, Dean Koontz never disappoints.
I will agree with the previous reviewer in that don't read this book too close to bedtime. I won't say who or what the phantom's is/are. You'll just have to read the book and find out for yourself. The book held my attention and there were times that I had trouble putting it down. One more time Dean Koontz keeps this fan mesmerized by his wild imagination. A good gripping thriller.
As scary as the Blob was when it came out

This reveiw written by my wife. She says that she could never read this book too close to bedtime. The book is written in the classic example of Dean Koontz and for fans of his you will surely not be dissapointed. Although several parts are quite gripping there are some parts that drag a little and as with all dean koontz books he is very descriptive even in the goriest parts.
