The majority of books I am selling have been in storage for years, many 20 years or more. Most were originally book store stock, unread and unsold, thus the very good condition of most. Also, most of my book auctions will include some of the Muze prefilled information. This is mainly to give you the synopsis of the book. When I write up the description, I physically check for all the information given. The Muze information is quite often wrong. If you see a contradiction, my information is more likely to be correct. If you have any questions, please ask me about it.

Please check my Store for other selections. I add new stock several times a week.

The only accepted form of payment is PayPal and I will ship to confirmed addresses only. Payment is due within 3 days. Your book will ship wrapped in tissue paper, then covered in bubble wrap, and in a new book-size box. Those supplies plus Media Mail postage WITH Delivery Confirmation will ship FREE to anywhere in the United States. Insurance is also available and recommended. Priority Mail shipping is available and I will combine all purchases to give you the best shipping price I can. Item will ship within 24 hours of receipt of payment, Mon-Sat. Please email all questions prior to bidding.

Synopsis
A writer named Philip who lives in London is having an affair with an Englishwoman. Both are married to other people and, later, when the affair is over and Philip's wife finds the manuscript of his new novel, she assumes it's a description of an actual love affair. He denies it, but in fact that's exactly what it is: the affair that inspired the novel he then writes. Philip Roth's novel, which is full of twists and turns that shed light on the many varieties of deception, consists entirely of dialogue between Philip and the various women in his life..

Publisher's Note
Presents an intimate, incisive portrait of a married, middle-aged American living in London and his mistress, a married Englishwoman, through a private, adulterous dialogue.
