Phlounder - 3M Bookshelf Fun and Action Word Game.  Produced by Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Co, copyright 1962. For from 2 to 6 players. The game has been played very sparingly - maybe 2 or 3 times.  The rules are printed on the inside of the lid.

The components are the specially designed plastic playing board, letter tiles, bell, 3 special dice, score sheet pad and word builder pad.

The boxes are in Very Fine condition.  One corner of the inside box was sprung and repaired with tape.  The rest of the corners are intact.  The bookcase sleeve has shelf wear and rubbing on the edges.

The bell is in perfect working condition and rings quite easily and loudly.  There is some rusting on the inside of the bell. 

It looks like 8 of the score sheets have been used and a couple of the word builder sheets. 

The instructions do not tell how many tiles there should be and how many of each letter.  This is what I have 7 A, 2 B, 2 C, 3 D, 10 E, 2 F, 2 G, 5 H, 6 I, 1 J, 1 K, 4 L, 2 M, 6 N, 7 O, 2 P, 1 Q, 5 R, 5 S, 8 T, 2 U, 1 V, 2 W, 1 X, 2 Y and 1 Z for a total of 90 letter tiles.

The game comes from the smoke free environment of my private collection.

NOTE: this game is not recommended for children under 3 years of age as they may swallow or inhale the small parts.
