Harold S. Spicer was an award-winning photographer for the Baltimore News Post during the heyday of big city newspapers. He was renowned for his action news photos. His talents also extended into his personal love of steam locomotives. Locals would often see Mr. Spicer beside the Maryland and New York mainlines as he captured these behemoths on film as they rumbled by. His cameras of choice were the Graflex and Speedgraphic in the 4x5 format.

Recently, I discovered dozens of 8x10 prints my father photographed during the 40's and 50s which I feared had been forever lost. Part of my profession is photo restoration. I scanned each photo and painstakingly restored them to their original beauty.

I can now offer these wonderful photos individually as a high-resolution 8x10 glossy digital print. Each one is museum quality and will enhance the collection of train enthusiasts.

My father also made high-quality sound recordings which have been assembled onto an audio CD. Scroll down this listing for additional information on how to obtain this 72 minute treasure.
