Frame Description:  
This is a truly outstanding new wood picture frame made to accommodate artwork that is 12" x 16" (please note -- the full frame photo is an identical 8" x 10" example).  The moulding from which this frame is made is approximately 5 3/4" wide on its face and 2 1/2" thick.  It is a classic profile that is thickest on the outsde and scoops elegantly toward the opening, lending depth to whatever artwork is placed inside.  It is simple, yet elegant, with a touch of ornamentation along the exterior and interior edges.  The finish is burnished chocolate brown that appears almost black over gold with light grey rottenstone antiquing applied to the ornamentation.  The result is a soft black that appears slightly bronze.  This frame is perfect for an oil painting or portrait and can also hold a print with glass.  It would also be beautiful with a mirror which can be provided for an very reasonable additional charge.
