The project is dedicated to the polish artist Roman Opalka and his work 1965/1-∞ 

Every week the pinhole camera obscura with two holes is being offered for auction on Ebay. This involves participation in a worldwide project, in the course of which a kind of global puzzle will emerge.

The highest bidder will receive a cardboard box camera loaded with a piece of unexposed sheet of 5x7 Inch b/w film. Punch a hole with the enclosed needle to expose half of the sheet film.

You will receive the camera from the highest bidder for the first hole and you can then expose the second photo. Through the partial overlapping of the two photos one single picture emerges, which two totally different people have created in two different geographical locations.

The cameras along with the developed prints of these partially superimposed photos, will then be exhibited permanently at the Galerie Merid in Stuttgart/Germany and on the Internet site of the project. The results will be published annually in a catalog.

In addition you will receive a print of your own photo.

Es ist eine Homage an den polnischen Kuenstler Roman Opalka und sein Werk 1965/1-∞

Jede Woche werden gleichzeitig zwei Loecher einer Doppelloch-Camera Obscura bei Ebay versteigert. Dabei geht es um die Teilnahme an einem weltweiten Projekt, in dessen Verlauf eine Art fotografisches Weltpuzzle entstehen wird.

Nach Auktionsende bekommen Sie eine Pappschachtel, geladen mit einem Stück unbelichteten Schwarz/Weiss Film, zugeschickt, stechen selbst mit einer beigelegten Nadel das Loch und belichten ihr Foto.

Sie bekommen von dem Hoechstbietenden des ersten Lochs die Lochkamera zugeschickt und machen die zweite Aufnahme. Durch die Ueberschneidung beider Motive entsteht so ein gemeinsames fotografisches Bild, nacheinander geschaffen von zwei Menschen an verschiedenen Orten.

Die Kameras, zusammen mit den dazugehoerigen Doppelbelichtungen werden danach in einer Dauerausstellung in der Stuttgarter Galerie Merid, sowie auf der Internetseite des Projektes zu sehen sein. Die Ergebnisse werden einmal jaehrlich in einem Katalog veroeffentlicht.

Zusaetzlich wird Ihnen die von ihnen gemachte Parallelbelichtung als Kunstdruck zugesandt.
