One of the coolest options on today's high-end receivers is multi-zone capability. The Elite VSX21TXH offers two zone capability, meaning that your single receiver can send content to another room. But while some multi-zone receivers only power speakers in additional zones, the VSX-21 offers both stereo audio and video in the second zone using composite A/V cables, while still letting you access 5.1 sound in the main zone. Another flaw with many receivers is that you can only access the content playing in the main zone. So if your partner's watching the game in the theater, you could watch and listen to the game in your bedroom, but nothing else. The VSX21 has two-source capability so you can watch or listen to something different in each zone that's enabled at your house.
