Passive Ear Training
Pitch Ear Training For Bb Instruments
Pitch Recognition, Relative Pitch
Contains 1 Audio CD Course and Instructions
Hi, My name is Michael Helm, author of "Passive Ear Training".
This is a listing for a Bb version of my original "Passive Ear Training" course in concert "C".
I wrote and recorded this course at the request of the large number of people who have contacted me over the last few years who play B flat instruments like trumpet and tenor sax.
They would tell me that they liked the revolutionary idea of my course, but thought it would have limited usefulness because they play a Bb instrument.
I agree. Learning to assosciate pitches to one name on the CD and then going to your Bb instrument which uses different names for different notes is confusing, indeed.
So, if you play a Bb instrument and are a fan of my work in the field of ear training and music theory,
THIS AUDIO COURSE IS CUSTOM MADE FOR YOU!
Warning: If you do not play a B flat instrument, DO NOT BUY THIS COURSE!!!!! It will only confuse you. If you play C instruments like guitar or piano etc. please check out the "C" version of this course which has a BLUE cover instead of this GREEN cover.
Listed below is the original text description of the legendary "C" version which is now used by thousands of musicians all over the world.
Hello, I am Michael Helm, inventor of Passive Ear Training. Here is how I look at the reality of developing Pitch Recognition:
If I said "A" to you, you would immediately understand that I was saying the letter "A" which in musical terms usually means the note "A".
Also, if I played an "A" note on the piano without you looking, you would immediately understand that I was playing a musical note -one that you have heard many times.
My definition of Pitch Recognition is the ability of someone to bridge these two pieces of information in their brain so that when they hear "A" on the piano, they instantly associate that tone with the alphabetical letter "A" which is the note's name.
Compared to other things our brain can do, this seems relatively simple. If it's so simple, then why can only a few people do it?
The answer is: Because WE HAVE NEVER ASKED OUR BRAINS TO DO IT!
My course simply gives to your brain: The PITCH and the NAME OF THE PITCH at exactly the same time - in rapid and random sequence - over and over and over and over.
Sounds boring you say? Maybe you're right. That is why I am delighted to tell you that you can use this CD while: driving, running, watching TV, sleeping, eating and even listening to other music! I mean, let's face it, when you are trying to focus on a pitch, the world isn't going to come to a screeching halt and be perfectly silent until you're done, right?
If you are willing to listen to this CD over and over many times, this critical information will become ingrained in your head very similar to the annoying song you heard 10 times last week and can't get out of your head.
Another nice feature is that you don't need a practice partner like you do with other pitch courses.
Think of it, how realistic is it to find a willing practice partner consistently enough to develop something as important as Pitch Recognition? I'm thinking, never.
Another nice feature is the price. Instead of the price range of $80 to $300, this course is very similar to the price of a new CD at the record store.
I would like to invite you to try my course. It's simple to use and reasonably priced.
All results vary from person to person just as brain thinking patterns vary from person to person. I think, however, you will agree that listening to this is going to turbocharge your brain and quite possibly enable you to attain your goal of having total Pitch Recognition.
As a bonus, I have also used this technology I have developed to help you with the following skills, all of which are included on the CD:
Relative Pitch Training
Pitch Recognition For Bass Notes
Major Chord Recognition
Minor Chord Recognition
I hope you try my course. My name is Michael Helm. I am a professional jazz pianist and have been one for 20 years. I am also an experienced Piano Tuner and Technician and a member of the Piano Technicians Guild. And yes, I have taught myself Pitch Recognition and Excellent Relative Pitch skills using this approach. I know first hand that it works.
Thank you. And, if you like, please check out my other music courses listed under my EBAY id: michael401661 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
