Robert Urich left his contract early after only preforming 8 performances with Bebe. The actor known to TV audiences for "Vega$" and "Spenser: For Hire," died April 16, 2002 after a long struggle with cancer. Not known as a song and dance man, he stepped into the national tour of Chicago in late 1999, playing Detroit and Washington DC, before goining the Broadway company Jan. 5, 2000. He was scheduled for six weeks but bowed out early.
