You are looking at a custom modified Playstation 3 dualshock 3 wireless controller. This controller has been fitted with a microcontroller IC that will allow you to use R1 for rapid fire.

 

This controller is unlike any other for the PS3. This controller allows you to use R1 for firing with rapid fire which is a much more natural. The controller has one button underneath with is used to select mode and speeds of the rapid fire and also to disable the rapid fire on R1. When the rapid fire is on your just continue to use the R1 button for firing except now it will fire with rapid fire.

 

This controller has 3 game modes. Each mode has speeds designed for specific games but these are not the only games they will work for, this mod chip will work for almost every first person shooter available with the addition of our user programmable mode. To switch the game mode you must hold in the mode/speed change button for aprox 3 seconds. You will see the player 4 LED flash. The number of flashes indicates the game mode. When you switch the chip to a game mode it will stay in that game mode unless you change it again by holding in the button.

 

  • Mode 1: Call of Duty 4 – This game mode has 2 speeds, Fast (10 sps) and Slow (8 sps). The fast speed will only work in COD 4 when you have the double tap perk equipped.

  • Mode 2: Call of Duty: Worlds at War - This game mode has 2 speeds, Fast (11 sps) and Slow (8 sps).  This mode is specifically for COD WaW to work around that patch that tries to detect rapid fire controllers.

  • Mode 3: User Programmable - This mode has one speed that can be set by the user from 6-25 shots per second.

 

To cycle through the settings you only need to tap the mode/speed change button underneath the controller. Once you are in the game mode you would like and change the speed setting, you will continue to fire using the R1 button.

 

Although this chips is very fast you are still limited by how fast the game allows a weapon to shoot.

 

This controller works great with games Like Call of duty 4/5, GTA 4, rainbow 6 and many more that use R1 for firing. It will also work with compatible PS2 games on your PS3 like Socom, Medal of Honor, Ghost recon and more.
