This Vol. 0f 789 pages (not including Biography and intro.) contains selections from English,Scotch, Irish and American .. including translations from German , Spanish,etc.
I believe this was an expanded version done after his death which I believe was is 1878, and includes a 71 page biography of Bryant.

Condition of content is very good -a clean book with no markings-- Binding is very good for such a old and heavy book. Corners and edges of boards are worn somewhat. Gold lettering is very good!
