Polymer clay mokume pendant w/swarovski crystals

Create your own jewelry with unique handmade pendant and beads.

Pendant and beads are made in a technique called mokume cane. First white polymer clay is molded into shapes. Sheets of designs are created using as many colors of clay sheets layered together as desired. Once block is made I use objects to press into the clay. Then with a razor held horizontal to the block I shave new layers of clay and put them onto another white sheet of clay. Colors blend together in various, unique ways. That sheet is then applied to the pendant shape and baked. Once cooled I top with a gloss acrylic finish.

Pendant is 1" x 1" in white, silver and black clay and two round clear Swarovski crystals (4mm) and black Swarovski crystals (2mm).

I've added same beads for earrings.

I love polymer clay because it is so light. No matter how large the pendant (and this one is larger) it will not weigh heavy on your neck (or your ears).
