Pope Pius IX Medal 1854 Bronze 82mm

Huge 1854 Pius IX bronze medal in a lovely light brown, About Uncirculated condition, with 4 or 5 small rim nicks, depicting the interior of the Basilica of St. Paul. Catalog number: Mazio-731.

This medal sold, with a case, at auction in Italy in December 2006 in About Uncirculated condition for 850 Euro (plus an auctioneer's fee). This presently offered piece does not include a case. For more information, see Lot #1409 under "Medaglie Papali" on this page:
