With its High Sensitivity GPS, sophisticated power management and integrated tri-band GSM/GPRS module, Spy Matrix PRO GPS enables users to both enhance existing telematics applications and enable new business concepts to be realized.
With the New Release of previously only available to Military & Government, the Spy Matrix PRO GPS allows for increased sensitivity which simply means that the unit can be used to track subjects under heavy foliage, in "urban canyons," indoors, and other places where regular GPS units tend to not communicate.
The unit is so sensitive, in fact, that it can be mounted underneath a vehicle and still provide location data from GPS signals bouncing off the roadway.
The motion-activated unit sends location data back to HQ via GPRS, falling back to SMS to report the target's location, if needed.
The Spy Matrix PRO GPS has impressive specs, that provides the most sensitive reception at -189dBW for tracking and -185dBW for acquisition.
The central component of Spy Matrix PRO GPS is the high sensitivity GPS receiver, an award winning technology, that provides reliable position data in areas that conventional GPS cannot. This allows Spy Matrix PRO GPS to work inside a vehicle, in the glove box, under seats or in the boot of a hatchback. A unit can even be fitted to the underside of a vehicle where it is able to use GPS signals reflected from the road surface.
Spy Matrix PRO GPS also contains an activity sensor that detects motion, allowing the unit to update its position if it has been moved. This sensor permits the selection of tracking profiles that, for instance, request a position report only once a day unless motion has been detected, in which case the unit “wakes up” and reports its position. Alternatively, if Spy Matrix PRO GPS knows that it has not moved since its last position report, it will not report the same position again, thus conserving power and saving money.
