Up for auction is a commercial cnc milling/drilling and router machine system complete and ready to go with Bobcad software, computer, and tooling.  We have stripped, refinished, and rebuilt this machine top to bottom and have refitted all of the electronics and controls with new equipment.   Take this versatile machine to your shop, hook up electricity and air, and make parts!

Mill and Router Capabilities

Manufactured in the USA by Porter Machinery this beast was built to an industrial standard which no other machine you will come across on Ebay can beat. What makes this machine better and stronger?  For starters, it weighs in at around 4,000 pounds!  It is built from massive castings and solid steel plate.  The 1-piece machined aluminum table travels along 1 ½" Thompson linear bearings and rails and is controlled by double-nut Thompson precision ballscrews.  The spindle is driven by a 7.5 hp motor and rides on massive oil mist-lubricated bearings that are smooth as glass.  Finally, this is an overarm design where the workpiece moves and the tool is stationary.  YOU SIMPLY CANNOT COMPARE THIS TO A STANDARD GANTRY-STYLE CNC ROUTER! We didn't know whether to list this in Ebay's "Routers-Professional" or "Milling Machines" categories because it truly has a place in both.   Wood, metal, composites, this machine can handle it and it can hold up to constant daily production.    

Travel capacities are roughly 41"x, 25"y,  and 7"z.  With the open overarm design you can potentially cut virtually any length of material in the x plane and you can flip the part around to effectively double the y plane travel.  The table size is 40" by 25".  1/8", 1/4", and 1/2" tool holders are included along with a new keyless drill chuck.  MDF spoilerboard surfaces are included and we are including a universal vacuum table attachment (vacuum supply required for use).  

Machine Controls and Software

We have removed the original General Numeric control system and have installed all new industrial axis drives, 1200-ounce drive motors, and power supply.  Also, we added a new Hitachi variable frequency drive (VFD) to power the spindle.  A vfd allows you to control the motor speed electronically, run a 3-phase motor off of standard 220 single phase household electricity (it will also run on 220 3-phase), and lets you run the spindle at speeds up to 24,000 RPM. 

The control system is a Windows XP pc-based setup running Mach 3, and features a new 15" Kodak/ELO touch screen monitor.  The machine comes setup and ready to go with software including CNC, CAD, and CAM programs for a complete design to manufacturing system.  We are an authorized Bobcad software dealer and are including Bobcad V14 on the machine.   We have Bobcad V23 Pro Mill, Lathe, Art, and Bobnest software and training videos in stock for additional purchase at great prices.  Please contact us if you are interested in purchasing Bobcad software by itself.

We have several options for you to get this machine to your shop or home. The first and best is free local pickup. We can load the machine for free and will spend as much time as you like answering any questions and demonstrating its capabilities. Most peopele choose this and it helps to get them off to a good start. The second option is that we will deliver it to the door of your shop within 300 miles for $200 plus $2.0 per loaded mile; full payment in advance.  We can crate this machine for pickup by the carrier of your choice for $750. Finally, we are willing to crate and ship this machine to anywhere in the lower 48 states for the crating fee plus actual shipping charges.
