Pre-War Lionel 400E Steam Locomotive-Standard-Very NICE

I'm not that familar with Lionel or Standard Scale Trains. I have an old 400E that I am selling and will describe it as well as possible. I have no history of this particular unit, nor do I have a way to test the motor. I have taken many Hi Res Photos which will answer a lot of questions. Please click on the pictures to enlarge them. The train looks to be in nearly excellent original condition. I do not see anything obvious (With my untrained eye) to lead me to believe this is a repro, restored unit, or has any newer replacement parts. There are some paint chips, scratches and minor handling wear. There is a hole in the boiler in the cab (See Photo) and I'm not sure if it belongs there or not.  All the parts seem to there (check photos though). I do not have the box or the tender.

I do know how collectible these are. I will try to answer all questions before the auction. If you need a photo, just ask. This unit will be shipped fully insured and with Signature Confirmation. The charges for these are covered in the shipping.
