SquareTrade © AP6.0This is a clear epoxy laminating or coating resin in a 1 1/2 quart kit. I truly beleive that this is the best epoxy on the market for building boats, pouring countertops, etc. It looks really great on wood.
The mix ratio is 2:1 by volume, so this kit consists of one quart of resin and 1/2 quart of hardener.
The unique feature of this epoxy is that it will not blush even under high humidity situations. Blush , or "amine blush" as it is called, is a greasy film that rises to the surface of almost all epoxies except for the cycloaliphtic systems. Virtually all epoxies commonly sold will blush- including WEST System, etc... It can be used in the building and repair of a boat, airplane, canoe, kayak, or industrial parts.
It is ideal for use in composite construction with fiberglass, kevlar, or carbon fiber cloth. This is a thin, low viscosity resin that really wets cloth out well.
Another great usage of this epoxy is for coating tabletops- Call me for guidance before embarking on these projects.
It also makes very tough small castings. Or mix it with small pebbles to get that "pebble paving" that you see around resort swimming pools.
The work life is about 30 minutes, it is dry to the touch in 12 hours, and full cure is about 24 hours. Laminates made with this system are extremely strong, and coatings have a high gloss.
This is new, fresh stock with at least one year shelf life from date you purchase. Please call me if you would like a cured sample of this epoxy and I will mail it to you (US only) at no charge.
I have other epoxies, milled fibers, cabosil, microspheres, thickeners and pourable flotation foam listed here on eBay. Or check my eBay store for similar items and other sizes. I have a store/warehouse if you would like to come in and pick up your purchase- we can talk about your project in person.
I also welcome you to call me at (877)342-8860 if you have any questions. I have been selling epoxy since 1974 and have a great many repeat customers.
A special note to those using this epoxy for pouring countertops- If you don't have any experience doing this sort of project, please practice on a scrap of wood before pouring it over something valuable. You may need to brush a thin coat on first to seal the wood- this prevents air bubbles from rising from the wood grain while the epoxy cures.
