Pretty Victorian 14K Gold & Enamel Bangle Bracelet
Presented is a lovely, Victorian 14 karat gold bangle bracelet. This beautifully made piece is highly decorative, with intricately carved and enameled designs all along the outside. It must have taken quite a few hours to engraved and enamel all the designs on the exterior of the bracelet. This piece is engraved on the inside with a presentation, Charlie to Mattie February 14 1872. Obviously this piece was made in 1872 or perhaps a little bit earlier.
The plunger style clasp is very secure and there is a safety chain for added security that has become unattached on one side, as you can see in the photos below.
Although this piece is not marked, it has been tested with nitric acid and is guaranteed to be 14 karat purity. This piece was almost certainly made in the United States.
This piece is in great condition, but the safety chain does need to be reattached on one side. There are some very minor dents to the interior surface, but these would be completely invisible when worn. There is no wear to the enameling, there are no other dents, no breaks, no splits and no repairs.
The inside circumference of the bracelet measures 6 3/8 inches and it weighs 16.4 grams.
