This is a lovely lakeside log cabin on Ellis Pond in the town of Roxbury in beautiful western Maine, about 40 minutes from Sunday River Ski Resort. It is available for rent in weeks of July, August and September. Screened porch and large deck, both with picnic tables. It is right on the lake. The living room has a fieldstone fireplace. There are no cabins across lake, just spectacular scenery. Cabin faces west, and the sunsets are glorious. There is a dock, and an aluminum rowboat with oars. Lake is completely surrounded by beautiful mountains.

The lot the cabin is on has 180 ft. frontage on the lake; cabin is in a cove.On one side there is a lovely all year round residence on a point, owned by an elderly couple, and on the other side is a rarely used cabin, probably one weekend a summer. If you want a place to relax, this is it. Also an outstanding view. People are always surprised at how nice the cabin is as we use it ourselves.

Fishing is great..white and yellow perch, bass, pickerel, trout, and hornpout.

The front bedroom has a double bed with a Beautyrest mattress. The back bedroom has twin beds, and the loft has twin beds. There is an all-electric kitchen with a coffeemaker and plenty of dishes and utensils, and a bathroom with a shower.

Pets allowed. Within 40 minutes there is a cinema. A very short distance is Byron where they pan for gold. Within 30 minutes there is a WalMart, supermarket, Marden's and other stores. There are also local convenient stores.

Only 2 weeks available so now the rent is $700 per week. To reserve a week you make a deposit of 1/2 down and the rest paid upon arrival. The weeks go quickly so if you are interested don't delay! Available weeks are  August 30 to Sept. 6; and Sept. 6 to 13 . September is a gorgeous week there.
