HANDMADE SEWING FROM PAPERPOOBA - Check out my other items!

DESCRIPTION  - A cute prim punch needle sewing embroidery or keepsake box.   Three little Chicks on Parade with each carrying something...a flag, balloon and pinwheel.   This design was inspired by various vintage postcards.   It is needle punched on weavers cloth using a variety of hand dyed flosses.   The box is paper mache that I painted with Distress Crackle Paint in 'Wheathered Wood' , followed with antiqueing medium and sealed.   The inside of the box is hand rubbed with antiquing medium and sealed.   Inside the box is a little pincushion made with a printed cotton flag material on the front and backed with dark blue velveteen.   It's stuffed with wool roving and a bit of wonderful fresh dried lavender and I have stuck in some glass head pins and attached two vintage pearl buttons with a safety pin.   The box is 5"x 7" oval and is 3" tall.  This was made in a non smoking home.  featherStitch~handwork
