~Santa Hanger~


Welcome to my auction for this Santa Hanger. He measures 17" tall as shown. His round head and wired arms are made of painted, aged muslin. His full, round body is made of green flannel and measures about 9" across.



Santa has a very expressive face. I needle-sculpted his nose. His grey eyes, lips and brows are done with artists' pencils. I added lots of shading, highlighting and blushing to give him his whimsical expression.

Santa's beard, mustache and hair are white wool that I carefully hand-stitched in place.



Santa's suit is made of aged green flannel. His hat is made of a green and red striped cotton. I trimmed the sleeves and his hat with cream fleece and hand-stitched red tinsel around his cuffs and hat brim. Sewn to the tip of his hat is a white jingle bell.



Santa is holding assorted greenery, some red berries, and a glittered, aged candy cane. This is all held together with white, wired jingle bells.







For Santa's finishing touch I added an aged, glittered banner printed with ~Happy Holidays~







I stitched a chenille hanger to Santa's back for hanging on a cupboard door, wreath or wall.



This Santa is a signed and dated Tallowberry Primitives Original.
