Envelopes Plus is an address book for personal and/or business use. The address book allows one to store names and address for family, friends, team members, clubs, church groups, business clients, employees, etc. From this address book a variety of envelopes sizes or label sizes can be printed for selected names.

The address book contains the following fields of information: 

     Name Prefix (i.e. Mr., Mrs., Mr. & Mrs., Doctor, etc)

     Last Name

     Primary First Name

     Secondary First Name (spouse or friend)

     Company or Family: (Company name if there is one or additional family names,

     i.e. “and Family”, “Bill, Joan, and Mary”, “and Kids”, etc)

     Address line 1

     Address line 2

     Address line 3

When printing the envelopes or labels there are many options for formatting the name line. The name line may contain the Name Prefix, Primary First Name, Secondary First Name, or any combination of the three. The “Company or Family” line may be included or not based on your selection.

One great feature of Envelopes Plus is that the names in your address can be added to “Groups”. Groups are user defined and any entry in the address book can be added to any number of groups. For example, you might want a group called “Family” and add your brothers, sisters, parents, uncles, cousin, etc to that group. You might have another group called “Christmas Cards” where you would add everyone on your Christmas card list. At Christmas time, you buy a box of Christmas cards, select the Christmas Card Group, place your envelopes in the printer and print all your envelopes with return address with just a couple clicks of the mouse.  Other type of groups could be Soccer Parents, Bridge Club Members, School Board Members, etc. When printing envelopes or labels you can select a group (or combine groups) with a couple mouse clicks and then print the envelopes or labels for everyone in the group. If your using this program for a small business the groups could be various types of clients, employees, etc.

On the envelope/label printing screen everyone in the address book is listed with a check box next to their name. You can select or un-select individual names for printing by clicking on the individual check box. This allows you to pick and choose anyone you want for printing. As you select “Groups” the individual check box for each person in the group is checked.

Some label (depending on size) and all envelopes may also include a return address in the upper left hand corner. Any number of return addresses can be entered into the program. You can have return address for each member of the family or anyone else. The return address allows for four lines of information formatted as you wish. When printing you selected the return address desired or check the “No Return Address” box.

Label sizes are the most common size and bases on Avery label formats. Any other brand of labels with the same format will also work.

When printing labels the program allow you to use partial sheets of labels by asking how many missing labels to skip on the first page.

The program comes with many of the common size envelopes and other sizes can be added. Envelopes can range in size from 3 1/2 to 9 1/2 in width and 2 1/2 to 9 inches in height. The sizes that come with the program are:

     9.5W X 4.125H

     3 1/2W X 2 1/2H

     6 3/4W X 3 3/4H

     6.5W X 3 5/8H

     5 3/8W X 4H

     5 3/4W X 4 3/8H 

     6 1/4W X 5 1/8H

     7 1/4W X 5 1/8H

     8 1/4W X 5 3/4H

     8 3/4W X 5 3/4H     

     9W X 6H

Envelope sizes can be added or removed at any time. Envelope sizes are restricted based on your printer’s capability. The envelopes must be feed flap first into the printer and some printers cannot take envelopes as wide as 9 1/2 inches.

The program also has a “One-Time” printing option for one time printing of an envelope or label. The label information is not saved in the address book.

The program requires Windows 95 or higher (95, 98, 2000, ME, XP, VISTA) and uses Access 2000 or later. FOR THOSE WHO DON’T HAVE ACCESS the software comes with a Run-time version of Access, which will run on all versions of Windows (95 or higher) EXCEPT for Windows ME.
