Offered for your consideration is an original 1915 Vintage Theatre Program from The Candler Theatre - 225 West 42nd Street in New York City.
The Front Cover is Illustrated in Color in what looks to be in the Art Noveau style with inter-twining Leaves or Vines.
The Program (16 pages) measures 9" x 6" and is printed on a semi-glossy type paper. It is the Week beginning September 9, 1915 and presents "The House of Glass" - a Play in Four Acts. The Cast (by order of Appearance) - Lila Rhodes, Mary Ryan, Ada Gilman, Sam Meyers, Frank M. Thomas, Thos. Findlay, James C. Marlowe + Others.
Beside the Program, there are many Illustrated local NYC advertisements - some on a full page. The last page shows a layout of the Theatre and Exits.
The overall Condition is Extremely NICE for its age. There is a very light fold down the middle of the Program and some very small "bumps" on the top page edges and upper right corner tips.
NOTE - This may be a scarse Program under the name "The Candler Theatre" which opened on August 14, 1914. A couple of years later, the name was changed to "Cohan and Harris" and in 1921 the name was changed to "Sam H. Harris". 1932-1933 marked it's last season as a legitimate theatre. In 1996, it was torn down for re-development plans for 42nd Street.
Please super-size my Pictures for a closer look at the Cast which is listed in Cameo pictures.
