This is the spec many of the best professionals use.  The people that make a living selling their violins for lots of money.  Would they not be good to follow?  This is time tested and reality tested.  It works.   It shows bass bar height, length, thickness and position, as well as comments on shaping.

Quit experimenting with your bars.  Plenty of good makers have done the testing.  Here is the data.  This is "the wheel", you cannot improve it.  Pros may stray, but they always come back to this.

One of the things I have learned is that the best violin makers are base lining on some key parameters such as plate thickness and the model they build.  Another key variable is the bass bar, but not nearly as important as the plates.  This diagram shows a great baseline spec for your bass bar.  You can remove the bar as a variable in your violin making now.  Concentrate on another variable.

This information is another "secret" staring you in the face.  I have just made your life easier.

Start base lining your violins on something that is proven.  Let your brain digest this data, and use this data.  There are plenty of books on violin making that tell you how to construct a violin.  Most are quite good, and correct.    I recommend the Strobel books for someone new or less experienced, but there are plenty of books to get the basics.
