See below for our COMBINED SHIPPING DISCOUNTS!

PLEASE READ the description provided above carefully prior to purchase, and please examine the photo or photos provided, since those detail exactly what you are purchasing. If you have any questions please email us prior to purchase since all sales are FINAL, subject to our return policy in the event of an inadvertent material misdescription of item sold —in that event upon your return of the misdescribed item to us within 7 days of receipt, we will cancel the sale and refund your purchase price. No refunds are given due to loss or damage in transit, which is something a purchaser is given the option of insuring against.

We have thousands of happy customers all around the world! Thank you for your WONDERFUL Feedback!

We are downsizing a large art library and large art collection--please see our other listings by visiting our Enthusiast Books Store by clicking My Stores Logo where you will find convenient ways of searching our inventory of art books and original fine art by subcategories as well as keywords.

PAYMENT IS EXPECTED WITHIN 7 DAYS FROM PURCHASE.

SHIPPING: We ship only via USPS. All items are packed with excellent protection against damage—see our feedback for praise of our shipping. Although our standardized information indicates a shipping/handling time of several days [in case we take a long weekend and such], generally we ship next business day following payment. PayPal will send you an email with tracking information, so keep same so you can follow up on status in the event of any Postal delay. Charges for domestic and international shipping are set forth elsewhere in this listing.

OPTIONAL CHARGES: If buyer wishes delivery to be signed for, please also contact us for additional cost. Books and catalogs purchased will be shipped media mail [typically 2-9 business days], or in the case of light packages, first class [2-5 business days typically]; Original art works are typically shipped Priority Mail. If buyer wishes a more expedited postal delivery, please contact us and we will advise as to the additional charge.

COMBINED SHIPPING DISCOUNTS: If shipment will be within the United States, purchases of items made from us on the SAME DAY may be combined for shipping cost savings if the items to be combined are of the same general type [examples-books and catalogues with books and catalogues; oil painting with other oil paintings; unframed works of art on paper with other unframed works of art on paper etc.]. In that case, email us following your purchase for a special COMBINED invoice pursuant to which a 25% discount off posted shipping price for the second item will be extended, and a 50% discount off the posted shipping price(s) will be extended for the third and subsequent items so purchased that same day. Again, the foregoing applies only to domestic shipments. It is possible that in some cases a similar courtesy can be extended for international shipments, but, because of the Post Office limitations on package size, weight, content etc., an international buyer must contact us in ADVANCE to confirm whether any such courtesy may be extended for the particular items desired.

WE THANK ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR PATRONAGE OVER THE PAST MANY YEARS!

About this well listed artist : Biography from AskART: A native of Naples, Italy, he became a successful commercial and fine artist, known for his monochromatic color and expressionistic methods. His early art education was in Naples. At age 22, he became a designer and supervisor in a stained glass factory and emigrated to Springfield, Illinois when a company branch opened there. Moving to New York, he did mural work and taught at the Art Students League. In 1938, he settled in California where he taught at the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles and worked in animation at Disney Studios. "Bambi" was one of his major animation movies. Rico LeBrun was born on December 10, 1900 in Naples, Italy. He immigrated to the United States in his twenties. He taught himself English and writing became for him another form of drawing, a way to exercise the muscles of vision and perception. He came to Southern California in the late 1930s following a decade as a commercial artist in New York City. In the late 1940s LeBrun's career was in full bloom. In 1952 and 1953 he went to Mexico where he experienced a change in his work, namely collage. In 1958 he worked with Josef Albers at Yale University as a visiting artist, an unhappy stint because of the really great contrast in their approaches. Following that, he visited Naples for the first time since the 1930s. He found the city, and his family, still in ruins from the war. The episode left him very depressed and it took him much time to navigate his way out of it. LeBrun was diagnosed with cancer in 1961. His son, David and a student, Jim Renner have collaborated on a book trying to explain this complicated man. Because he dwelt on the horrors of World War II and the Holocaust, it was assumed that he was a dark brooding figure. Instead he is better described as intensely driven, passionate and affectionate. He died on May 10, 1962 in Malibu, California.
