The righteous roots outfit Wailing Souls, with lifts from Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson of Sublime and Sly Dunbar, go psychedelic inna ragga style on this assortment of classic '60s/early-'70s anthems. For those whose cheese-radar goes off the board at the idea, drop your raised brow--these renditions display much of the same free, energized, topical spirit that they did at their inception. Classic rock guitar work meets spacious dub stylings, loops, soundboard tricks and a fine taste of Jah love all around.
The Who's "My Generation" is as raucous as ever, striking a perfect balance between Pete Townsend-style guitar riffery and big, loud hip-hop drumming. Hendrix's "May This Be Love" is entrancing in it's sweet, quiet way, while the Beatles' unforgettable "Tomorrow Never Knows" socks the listener in the (third) eye again, this time with narcotic drum-and-bass beats, chants and loops. An exciting celebration of wonderful '60s warhorses, reworked Kingston style for the '90s.

MINT=M  -- Case and inserts are like new, disc appears never played.


NEAR MINT = NM --  Case and inserts excellent. Disc close to new. Only VERY minor flaws.


VG + --  Case may have light scuffs , inserts may have small flaws, Disc may have very minor scuffs / scratches but no significant problems.  Will definately play without problems.


VG --  Well-used  Expect some  case and insert problems, scuffing or light scratches on disc. Will still play without problems
