Sara and Fred Machetanz wrote and illustrated a number of lovely books about Alaska, the Eskimos and the Alaskan sled dogs. He used his own Malamute dogs for models.
Fred Machetanz was a famous artist. His paintings, photographs and films have immortalized the beauty of Alaska's Eskimos, Landscape, Wildlife and Sled dogs. This book is rare and hard to find.
