Rare Quadraphonic 8 track complete with original factory slipcase that is part of a large collection I am selling. His name is synonymous with instrumental music having recorded an astounding 90 albums during his career in styles ranging from big band to classical to pop. Eight of these albums were certified gold by The Recording Industry Association of America. He was nominated for an unprecedented 72 Grammys, winning 20. Additionally he was nominated for 18 Academy Awards, winning four. He also won a Golden Globe Award and was nominated for two Emmys. He had a 20 year contract with RCA Records, resulting in 60 commercial record albums which accounts for the many RCA quad 8-tracks produced.
This week I'm listing all Instrumental Quad 8-tracks. I purchased many of these brand new and those are still in beautiful condition. Others were purchased used and even though the case may be a bit dirty looking and the labels might be blistered and worn, the tape inside still plays excellent.
Five years ago, I recorded these to quad reel to reel (which I still have) and then packed them away in my spare bedroom. Because they've been stored for so long, I wanted to make sure they still played well before listing. The last two groups of tapes I sold were only briefly checked. This time I took a week off from listing and this group has been throughly gone through. See my notes below.
