This auction is for Quad of 4 KEN-RAD 12AX7 Black Plate Matched Preamp Tubes. All three have the identical codes 0-48 over 188-5. Each have black plates and one top "D" Horseshoe getter and are in excellent condition. All have the same codes, 188-5 and 0-48, GE codes but these also have the Sylvania 12AX7 designation. All are identical in make and build. These are vintage MADE IN USA tubes. They are in perfect working order, guaranteed. I personally tried each one individualy in my Valve JR which has only one 12AX7, and each one of these worked perfectly. Tubes are checked for filament, shorts, leakage and emission value. Minimum Emission good is 70, maximum is 130. These tubes passed all tests. I also let the tubes I test warm up for 5 minutes to get an accurate reading. They tested matched as follows :

    A: It came stock with a Sovtek 12ax7. These have a bigger tone, stronger gain and overall a vast improvement over the stock tube.
