This listing is for a Quartz specimen that is heavily coated and included with Epidote. In this piece, the Epidote is extremely dark, showing black in normal light everywhere except for a few edges where the thinner layer shows a bit of very dark green. However, the epidote shows green under bright lights, as you can see in the photos. The entire surface of this rocky matrix is covered with short crystals, which appear very dark because of the density of the epidote. However, there are about two dozen quartz crystals that are tall enough to rise above the effect of the epidote. Most of these are clear to very slightly included, and the contrast between these and the darker ones is quite striking. Also, there are so many quartz terminations scattered across the rock that the entire specimen has a surprising amount of sparkly, even those that show dark. Most of the terminations are complete and intact ... I can spot two places where a quartz crystal used to be, but these spots are not sufficiently noticeable to detract from the overall impact of the specimen. (MCS-0101-086)

If you have a problem with your purchase, please contact us immediately to see if we can resolve it. If not, you may request a return authorization code to display prominently on the label of the return package, which must be shipped within 7 days. Insurance is required on all returns.
